YMA Engineering + Consultancy was founded in 2017 by Ahmet Metin Yıldırım, MSc in Civil Engineering. Before establishing the firm, Ahmet Metin worked alongside İrfan Balioğlu, one of Turkey's leading structural engineers, between 2011 and 2017.

During the pandemic, YMA Engineering + Consultancy continued its activities, albeit at a lower intensity. During this period, Ahmet Metin Yıldırım worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at Meinhardt Group.

As of early 2024, Ahmet Metin has fully dedicated himself to YMA Engineering + Consultancy, providing advanced engineering services and consultancy under the firm's name.
